WA: Rose Porteous confronts burglars

PERTH, Dec 28 AAP - Socialite Rose Porteous was confronted by three masked men during
a burglary at her Mosman Park mansion, Prix D'Amour, early today, police said.

A police spokesman said Mrs Porteous was disturbed by the burglars, who wore balaclavas,
at about 4.30am.

She was alone in the house at the time but was not injured.

The spokesman said no information was available on what was stolen, and detectives
were still at the scene.

"At this stage we are treating it as an aggravated burglary," he said.
