NSW: Labor party names candidate for Auburn by-election

SYDNEY, Aug 11 AAP - Barbara Perry, a lawyer and mother of two children, will stand
for the NSW Labor Party in the Auburn by-election on September 8.

Mrs Perry, 37, will attempt to retain the seat for Labor following the resignation
of local MP Peter Nagle last month due to ill health.

"I grew up in Auburn and I am proud of Auburn," Mrs Perry said today.

"My husband and I are raising our two boys here. In fact, Matthew attends the same
primary school I attended with my sister and brother."
