SA: Private hospital to be expanded

ADELAIDE, Dec 1 AAP - Private hospitals group, Healthscope Limited, today announced a $2.3
million expansion of its Griffith Rehabilitation Hospital in Adelaides south-western suburbs.

The group said the expansion would include 12 new private rooms, new clinical treatment
areas, new consulting suites, a patients lounge and dining facilities.

Healthscope managing director Bruce Dixon said the expansion decision highlighted the
outstanding performance of the Griffith hospital and its staff over the past few years.

"I am confident these developments will ensure Griffith remains the pre-eminent provider of
private rehabilitation services in South Australia in the years to come," he said.

The 55-bed Griffith Rehabilitation Hospital was currently the only recognised private
rehabilitation hospital operating in SA.
